GoDaddy Automatic Email Setup Tool for Outlook

GoDaddy has a great tool you can use to automatically configure Outlook to retrieve your GoDaddy email. This works for Outlook 2007, 2010, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail.

You'll need your GoDaddy email address and password.

GoDaddy's Outlook Setup Tool.

If you don't remember your GoDaddy email password, but you can log into your GoDaddy account, here is where you can change that password.

I see there is now a GoDaddy app for Apple, Android, and Blackberry: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/7999?lang=en but I haven't tried it. I instead get my GoDaddy email through the mobile email client.

Change GoDaddy Email Address Passwords

This is always tough to find. Here's where to change the passwords on your GoDaddy Email Accounts:
  1. On www.godaddy.com click on My Account in upper right corner
  2. Click on Email under MY PRODUCTS in left rail
  3. Click on Manage Account beside the email account you'd like to access
  4. You are now in EMAIL CONTROL CENTER
  5. Click on that email address under "Address" in the body of that web page
  6. A dialog box will open. You can change your email address password here (and you don't need to recall your old password). This is also where you can make the email address a catchall.
Now you can setup Outlook to retrieve your GoDaddy email (GoDaddy has a nifty wizard),
or access via the GoDaddy Web-based email

How do I Access the Free Website in GoDaddy?

I always lose where that is, so am documenting the steps here:
  1. login to godaddy.com
  2. click accounts in upper right corner
  3. click my products (left rail)
  4. Manage domain
  5. under related products: click manage beside website tonight
  6. click launch
GoDaddy moves this around so search for "website tonight", or try here: http://app5.websitetonight.com/WST.aspx

How to Set-up your Free Email Account in GoDaddy.com

It always takes me quite awhile to figure this out whenever I purchase a new domain name from GoDaddy.com so instructions from the email they send are here: Tell Me How To: Set up my FREE personalized email account and also below: To Set Up an Email Address Log in to your Account Manager. In the My Products section, click Email. To use a free email credit when the Email option does not display in your My Products section, click Free Products, click Email Account List, click Use Credit, select the domain you want to use from the list, and then click Continue. The account displays as a new account in the Email Account list. Click Manage Account for the email account you want to manage. If an option to add addresses or view all email plans displays, click View All. Click Add for the plan to which you want to add an email address. The Add Email page displays. In the Add Email section, select whether you are using a domain registered or hosted with us or a domain registered or hosted elsewhere, and then in the Email Address field, enter the first part of the email address that you want to create and specify the domain. (Optional) In the Forward Carbon Copy area, enter the email address to which you want message copies sent. Separate multiple addresses with a comma. (Optional) Make a Catchall Account which automatically forwards email messages sent to an unknown address at your domain to this account. (Optional) In the Set Auto-Responder area, set an automatic response to be sent upon receipt of emails to this account.
