I thought I would die when Google announced they were retiring Google Reader. But I am going to live!!!.
I love how Feedly is so well integrated with Chrome. Even easier and quicker to add feeds to my RSS reader than Google Reader was! Be sure to add the feature where a faint Feedly pixel shows up in the bottom right corner on every site that has a feed. Click it, add it, adjust tags, etc.

Google Reader on your Blackberry (and it's free!)
I love how quickly I can be reading my Google Reader subscriptions via 1-click. Simply change the start page to one of your Google reader subscriptions per instructions below. I also have a separate Google quick search app that I use for general web searches.
Change the home page or start page
- On the Home screen, click the Browser icon.
- Press the Menu key.
- Click Options.
- Click Browser Configuration.
- Perform any of the following actions:
- In the Home Page Address field, type a web address.
- Change the Start Page field.
- WHAT I DID: TYPED THIS INTO THE HOME PAGE FIELD: http://www.google.com/reader/m/view/?dc=gorganic (WITH FONT SIZE 12)

Google Reader - The fix for: You don't have permission to view this feed
Here's how to fix "You don't have permission to view this feed" in Google Reader:
"Something on your computer or network (proxy/firewall/antivirus/etc) is probably interfering with Reader's access to the internet when you use http. Since https encrypts the data, it is less likely to be stopped by these programs. In general, if you find that you are unable to access Reader with this kind of error, try using https first."
Simply replace http:// with https:// in the address bar. It works!

Backup Google Reader Subscriptions
Simply go to Settings when logged in to Google Reader (upper right corner, you may get a drop down box so select "Reader Settings").
Select "Import/Export"
Click on "Export your subscriptions as an OPML file"
and Save this file to your harddrive.
You can import these feeds back into Google Reader (or any reader that reads OPML files) quite easily by selecting "Import your subscriptions" on this same page.
Be safe - backup.
