In
order for your site to resolve you will need to update your domain's A Record
to point to the IP address for your Website Builder account.
To View Your Website Builder Account's IP Address
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Website Builder.
- Next to the Website Builder account you want to use, click Launch.
Your IP address displays in the IP Address field.
Please use the following information to link your domain to the IP address you've been provided (this will be placed in the Points to field as indicated in Step 6 below).
To Edit an @ A (Host) Record
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click the Products tab under your name.
- Click the Launch button on the DOMAINS bar. This will open your Domain Manager.
- From the DNS pull down menu, select DNS Manager, and then click Edit Zone for the domain name you want to update.
- In the A (Host) section, click the A record you want to edit.
- Edit any of the following fields:
- Host — @ Leave as default
- Points to — Enter the IP address your domain name uses for this host record.
- TTL — Leave as default
- Click Save Zone File, and then click OK.
This applies to all domains with any Registrar, not just Us. Please allow for this update when planning web sites or configuring the DNS of a domain. Please contact us (support@godaddy.com) 48 hours from the requested change if the problem has not resolved itself and we will be happy to investigate the issue further.
