Scanned Documents are too Light!

Here's how to fix that:

• Search your hard drive for: HP Scan
• Open and select "Document to File" (PDF)
• Adjust resolution. 600 dpi should work but you can increase all the way up to 1200 dpi. (Mine initiated at 200 dpi, way too light)

Fatal Error reading PDF File - Adobe Reader

If you get a "Fatal Error" when trying to open a PDF file, this worked for me: Go into Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall or Change a program > Find Adobe Reader (mine was Adobe Reader X) > then right-click, select Change, then "Repair...", Next, Finish.

If you left your dual monitors on at work, and left for the day without shutting down, then you will not be able to see what's on your second monitor when you remote or SVO into your desktop. So, what you must do is restart by shutting Windows down (Windows, Shutdown). When you start backup, the other monitor will no longer have a signal and nothing will display there!
