To Edit an @ A (Host) Record

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  1. Click the Products tab under your name.

Changes to the settings of a domain take an average of 48 hours to become effective because of the number of networks involved, and because these networks are controlled by several different agencies. Additionally, it may take up to 48 hours for the old DNS information to expire and be removed from any servers that have stored (cached) information about your domain.

This applies to all domains with any Registrar, not just Us. Please allow for this update when planning web sites or configuring the DNS of a domain. Please contact us (
support@godaddy.com48 hours from the requested change if the problem has not resolved itself and we will be happy to investigate the issue further.

Transfer Music from Nano to Computer - No Software Needed

No software needed. This is a a free and easy way to transfer music from your iPod Nano to your computer:

1. Connect your iPod Nano to your computer. If prompted to sync with the iTunes library, select "Cancel." If syncs automatically, close iTunes.
2. Click the "Start" button on your desktop and click "My Computer."
3. Double-click "My iPod," and if there is a folder named "iPod Control" double-click it and select "MUSIC."
(If there is not, click the "Tools" menu at the top of the window and select "Folder Options">"View" and check "Show hidden files and folders", and then click "OK." The "iPod Control" folder will now be visible.)
Note the music titles will look strange (e.g. GLOV) but when they transfer the full titles and other metdata will display correctly.
4. Open a folder on your computer where you want to save the music files.
5. Drag and drop the music files from the iPod's "MUSIC" folder into this folder. The files will transfer to the selected folder and be saved to your computer's hard drive.
6. If you want to upload into iTunes. Open iTunes. Click File, Add folder to library, and then select this folder you just created.

Follow-up: I also found this wonderful application:

Scanned Documents are too Light!

Here's how to fix that:

  • Search your hard drive for: HP Scan
  • Open and select "Document to File" (PDF)
  • Adjust resolution. 600 dpi should work but you can increase all the way up to 1200 dpi. (Mine initiated at 200 dpi, way too light)

How to Turn off United Airlines Phonecall Alerts

You can change or turn off the pre-flight alerts (phonecalls or texts) for United Airlines here:

United Airlines - Flight Status Notification Subscription

Under the Phone section, you'll also want to select Edit and be sure the phone choices are correct for how you would like to receive reminders.

I have mine set to "Notify me of my flight status and gate information" "1 hour in advance", via text.
