File menu > Options command > Advanced option > Display section > turn on “Disable hardware graphics acceleration”
Microsoft has added some type of unnecessary animation, and it appears this turns that off.
This also worked:
Disable Animations:
- Click Start.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Ease of Access.
- Click Ease of Access Center.
- Click Make the computer easier to see.
- Click Turn off all unnecessary animation (when possible) to check the checkbox.
- Click Apply.
